ABOUT BONDING:
Kendri leave their parents early, and spend the first part of their life traveling with the wind, going wherever 'feels right'. They meet lots of people while they travel, and sometimes, if a person helps them out in a huge way, or is just the best friend they've ever had, then they'll bond with that person. Bonding is a magical process that affects both the Kendri and the person they bonded with; the Kendri's eyes change color from silvery-grey to whatever their bond's eye color is, and they both innately know where their bond is, even from miles away. The person gets the added bonus of becoming much more skillful with magic, as Kendri sort of act like familiars, helping to store and channel magic. Bonding only happens once, and can't be undone. A Kendri has no control over it, it just happens. For that reason, most of them associate it with fate.
