Stanwey! Wookit!

Despite technically being one himself, Stanley is not a fan of bugs. Or any sort of creepy-crawly, really. This is understandable; creepy-crawlies are gross, and besides, we humans aren't so fond of rats or mice, and we're all mammals. But it's still kinda hysterical.

Whimsey, however, has no problems with much of anything. Everything is new and awesome to her. A bug that pretends to be a stick? Nothing could be more amazing at the moment. Also, now you can tell how tiny she is. She's about as tall as your average spoon. Which means that's actually a pretty small stick bug, as far as they go... go Google image search stick bugs, you'll see ones as big as a guy's head.

ART-RELATED MUSINGS (MOSTLY):
Hopefully, Stanley's posture and expression all say "Get that thing away from me!" He's sort of... limited, as far as facial expressions go, and in my mind he does a lot of speaking with his hands. So I hope I managed to get that right. I also hope his hands aren't too, uh... feminine? I feel as though I've improved greatly in the field of hands since the start of the year, but the only reference I have handy (no pun intended) are my own, and in another life, I could be a hand model (seriously. Not to sound vain, but my family likes to joke that my hands would be the ones they photoshopped onto other model's arms for nail polish ads. Especially since they wouldn't even need to put acrylic nails on them; my nails go freakishly long and hard and I never chew 'em, so I actually have a hard time convincing people they aren't fake. People wonder how I can even type. But I digress!) So I always worry that I'll draw them too girly. ('Course, Stanley's kinda girly in the first place, haa... I fear that Stanley is going to be the one I enjoy tormenting, simply for his reactions. Sorry man. Only not really.)
